I want to shout out Daniel Sun. Daniel is in our 2nd block. If you haven't stopped by Daniel's blog, you should. He always has great insight into the work he is doing and really has a mindful way about him, observing his environment, his peers, all while doing great work. Daniel really has a good sense of what creating is. Thanks for being part of our class Daniel!
Goodbye 2016! This last week we completed our box project in the flurry of days before the Holiday break. We also had some visitors from HP, Microsoft, and Digital Promises who interviewed students in 4th and 5th block, helped us out with ideas for our final projects, and who walked away in awe of the student work.
Alexis, Claudine, and Cristian did an awesome job responding to their reflection questions with video. Thank you!
We are almost done with the 2nd quarter, as we are winding down towards Holiday break students are making their cuts and sanding their wood. We took a quiz this week on woodworking tools and learned how to properly use the Miter Saw. Enjoy Mr Keating's advisory sanding away during lunch.
We are going to complete our Box project before we leave for the holiday break, so this week it was imperative that our Design Plans were almost done. At the end of the week we also did a Post-It cluster of ideas for the UN 2030 Goals. We will be working within one of these goals for our FINAL in the spring.
