Maker 2 students began the year with the assignment of creating a paper airplane, the objective being to make it fly as far as possible. This could be seen as a metaphor for their journey this year, but it was also an exercise in questioning direction and considering the possibilities. What does fly mean? How can I work towards objectives in unconventional ways? Pretty soon they were running with their planes 'flying' them as far as they could go.
