This week MDs focused on prototyping with foam core, building intersecting planar models and volume models using tutorials by STEAMStudio and my written directives. Cottage Cheese (rough cuts) versus Cheesecake (smooth cuts) was the motto this week and now a permanent part of our maker vocabulary. These assignments required exact measurements, and precise attention to directions. This is a step up from Prototyping 1.0 with coffee shop materials, and will help us with prototyping in our LIGHT projects and other challenges that require us to build structures.

This studio is filled with equipment that I want to have for myself. Well, I also started to make my own studio and it is not that big as yours is. If you ask me, a good studio needs to be equipped with the best machines that money can buy. Of course, it will be hard to make a profit because of it, but they will really help the quality of your work. I suggest that you buy more equipment for your studio.
